About the Artist

I was raised around islands and in saltwater as a child in 50's and 60's Miami.  I draw much of my imagery from that and other natural sources.  In my pieces I try to convey motion and balance.  I'm more concerned with an accuracy of feeling rather than the accuracy of the image itself.  Besides welding, I've lately taken up "burn-out casting" with the aim of developing a more "painterly" approach to sculpture; i.e. spontaneity in execution and construction/form/finish unity.
